Cat Lady!

Yes! I finally have a cat! Since I could write, I've been putting on my Christmas list, "CAT" and never got one. My dad always said I could have a cat when I have my own place. Since 'having my own place' has been a difficult condition for me to meet for the last few decades, I have not gotten a cat. But the stars aligned, and I am now cat-sitting for the next two years!

My great friends the Youngs are living in China for two years, and couldn't bring their cat, Luna Lovegood. Meanwhile, I have my own place for the next two years! Works out perfectly! So yesterday, Brian Young's sister and dad flew the cat down from Seattle and brought her to my apartment. Since then, she's been exploring like crazy, and finding her favorite spots. She's very well-behaved, and very quiet. Last night I was watching a movie, and kept forgetting there was a cat in the apartment, and she would jump on the couch, or just walk across the room, and startle the heck out of me.

By the way, she is a polydactl cat, like Hemingway had!

  1. It's not like I don't looove cats, but your baby brother has asthma so we could never have one. Or a dog. Or a snake. Or a hedgehog. Poor kid's allergic to everything!

Anyway, Luna is super cute and I hope to spend some time with my grandcat when we visit you, probably Pres Day 2014.
